Wangjiang Tower Park
Wangjiang tower means “ a tower that overlooks the river “. The tower is 39m high and is made solely of wood. Other highlights in the park includes the Yinshilou, Wuyunxianguan, Quanxiangxie. The park was build in the ming and the Qing dynasties. It was built in the commemoration of Xue Tao, the first woman poet of tang dynasty.
Paraside for over 80 species of flowers, 360 types of trees and more than 50 of wild animals species the Tiantai Mountain scenic spot boast the syncline hilly landforms. It measures about 1812 m in height. The seven waterfalls are the most famous attraction of the area.
Also known as the Martial Marquiws Memorial Temple, it was biltd in 223 in commemoration of the prime minister of the Shu state during the three kingdoms named Zhuge Liang. Attractions involves inscribed tablets , penmanship , couplets , furnaces , Chinese tripods , etc . It is the largest museum displaying the relics of the 3 Kingdoms.
Du Fu Thatched Cottage
The museum has an historical relics, elegant buildings and tranquil environment. The hut was originally built ny Du Fu , the famous Tang poet. He lived here for about 4 years and was inspired to compose more than 240 poems. The park and museum in the western suburbs of Chengdu, Sichuan Province.
Chengdu Research Base for Giant Panda Breeding
In 1987 , the Chengdu Research Base for Giant Panda Breddding was established. The research base covers an area of 106 hectares. Several wild and endangered speicies like the gold monkey and the red panda are breed here. The count of giant panda has been increased from 6 giant panda tp113 and has become the largest group in the world.
